Crushing is usually part of a multiple sampling system where on-line sample preparation is required and sampling standards dictate the necessary reduction of material sample size. Since crushing is the primary source of moisture loss in the extracted sample, James A. Redding sampling systems minimize this loss by sealing the path of the sample. We also provide an internal air seal to minimize dusting. We recommend that the sealed final sample container should be located as close as possible to the after crushing sampler.
Hammermill crushers are used in the majority of cases. A number of sizes are available to handle different material sizes and tonnages. Most of the crushers we utilize have easy access upper housings, which provide for ease of inspection and maintenance.
